Figma plugin
Review Figma designs inside layernote.
The layernote Figma plugin lets you connect your Figma designs to your layernote workspace without leaving Figma. Import and sync frames so your team can review them in layernote.
Installing the plugin
- Open Figma and go to Community in the left sidebar.
- Search for layernote.
- Click Install on the layernote plugin page.
The plugin is now available in your Figma toolbar. You can also access it from the Plugins menu in any Figma file.
Connecting your workspace
- Open the layernote plugin from the Figma Plugins menu.
- Click Sign in and log in with your layernote account.
- Select the workspace you want to connect to.
Once connected, the plugin remembers your workspace and logs you in automatically for future sessions. You can switch workspaces at any time from the plugin settings.
Importing frames
- Open the Figma file containing the designs you want to review.
- Launch the layernote plugin.
- Select one or more frames from the canvas — either by clicking them directly or choosing from the list in the plugin panel.
- Click Import to layernote.
- Choose an existing project to add the frames to, or create a new project.
Imported frames appear as reviewable pages in your layernote project. When you update a frame in Figma, use the Re-sync button in the plugin to push the latest version to layernote.
Syncing frames
When you update a design in Figma, open the plugin and click Re-sync to push the latest version to layernote. Your team can then review and annotate the updated frames directly in the layernote web app.
